Its about time.... Florida 2010

Well we made to Florida and back with all five kids.... I was not sure we would, or if it would be at all fun with five kids on a plane for the first time, and then keeping track of them in the parks... I was wrong, we had a great time!

We spent the first four days in the parks.. the weather was not as warm as we would have liked but anything is better than the snow we left back home!

I asked Curtis if he thought we could get away with building a "TIME OUT" like this in our yard this summer.... I think it might work rather well:)

By the time I found this guy I needed a little extra luck. I think he could have used a bra.

For weeks before we went people would ask Chandler if he was excited to go to Disney World... He would say " No I just want to go to China and buy some China stuff"... Well we made it to China and he was soooooo happy!

We also had to visit the First aid place while at Animal Kingdom... Chandler forgot that he had was on a ledge looking at the baby otters and turned aroud and walked right off.... OUCH!

It made for a great story for the rest of the trip.

The last three days of our trip we spent with Curtis's family in Jacksonville.. It was the first time the kids had met any of them. They had a wonderful time getting to know Grandpa Henderson's side of the family...

We had a great Christmas!

The celebrations started the week before at Curtis's family Christmas party. As always Santa came and the kids all got to sit on his lap and chat with him

Mckenzie and Amelia looked so cute in their Christmas dresses

Grandma and Alice came over bright and early Christmas morning to see what Santa left for them.

Amelia was a lot of fun this year.... She loved all the gifts and most of all the playing in the paper.

What a GREAT Thanksgiving!

We had such a great Thanksgiving this year. Some of our good friends came down from Salt Lake to share it with us and it was a wonderful day! Brittany and I got up at 4am and went over to Cortez to hit the BIG Wal-mart sales.... I had not been black Friday shopping in about 8 years and it was not as bad as I thought it would be. I was able to get everything that I wanted and we made it back home by 8am. I was so glad Britt. came with me, she stood stayed by the carts while I hunted things down and she even stood in line for a couple of the gifts I needed. If that is not a true friend I'm not sure what is. Curtis and Tom took McKenzie and Bryson out to shoot the guns and everyone came back alive, yes Curtis is turning into a small town guy!

I would have posted pictures but for some reason I'm not able to upload them I'm not sure what is going on with my computer. Well time to go put the tree up.... yahooo!

Wow, Amelia's 1st year has gone by so fast.

3 days old

1st Halloween.(8 weeks).

This was such a special day, Bryson was baptized and Amelia was blessed.

Already playing dress-up (9months).

And now she is ONE!

She is such a sweet little thing, but her personality makes up for her size.

She only weighs 17 lbs and is not yet walking

but that is fine with me, I just don't want her to grow up!

One year later

We went on a ride on the mountain loop today, and I realized
that just happened to be what my 1st blog post was this same time last year.
I did not think of it until we were on the mountain and I was taking pictures of the kids.
I was hoping that I could find the same log that they sat on for their picture last year, but no
such luck. We knew right where the spot was but the logs was gone.
Oh well, one of the good things about the mountain is that there are plenty of logs!

This past week we went up to Salt Lake to see my new little niece Addison

She is so sweet and very Strong! Born 7 weeks early and weighing only 4lbs and 14 oz she had to stay in the NICU for 4 weeks. She got to come home while we were up there.

I had a blast making bows and a tutu, and as you can see taking pictures.

I just love this little guy!

He found this helmet while at grandma Dunows house, it was his papa Dunows and I'm sure he

would have been proud.

He always has this thing on, and he says it helps him to do things.

It obviously does not help him sit in chairs

it does help his game play on the Wii

it helps him be brave at the Dentist and helps him sleep

He did not have the helmet this day, and he could have used it.

While at our family reunion he fell and broke his arm.

Dr. Black to the rescue! Got him all fixed up and on his way back to

the reunion.

As you can see it did not slow him down a bit, and got him lots of attention.

He keeps us laughing, on the run, and we always have a good Chandler story.

Bryson is 9 years old today

wow, time has gone by so fast.

He had an extra special birthday this year, his little cousin Addison was

born today.

He got a fishing pole so like it or not Curtis has to go fishing.

We had another fun filled day with friends at the falls.

The water was still a bit cold but as you can see the kids did not care at all. Chandler would have liked to jump off the waterfall.

After a few dozen smores we went frog hunting. I would have taken my camera on that adventure, but it was all I could do to navigate in the dark and not fall in the water.

After a lot of convincing we decided they would have a good home in grandma's back yard.

Our sweet Chandler came almost 6 weeks early on April 27th 2006. He weighed

5lbs 15 oz and was 21 inches long. Yes, I think he would have

been HUGE if he wouldn't have come early.

It was a little scary for the first few days, but from the start

he has proven to be a tough little boy.

He was in the NICU for only 5 days.

And now he is three.
Chandler has always been into everything, but he keeps us laughing.
He loves to go outside, and learned very early how to
get out of the house.
I can't count how many times the little man was found outside by us or
our great neighbors. Sometimes dressed and others not.

Garrett has been waiting for this day for the past year.the day when he can use dental floss for something other than

flossing
Yes, he got his first loose tooth this past week.

We have all had it done. The floss on the door knob trick.

I used to run with the door. Garrett stood still but the floss did not

stay put.

He wouldn't let me try it again, but it did loosen it enough for

him to pull it.

Wahlaaaa!

I figure it's like the pickle jar, I loosened it just enough for

him to do it him self.

Spring Boutique

As a lot of you know my mom and I are having a boutique this Sat. the 25th

at my house from 10am-2pm .

Here is a small preview of some of the stuff we have been working on.

When I say "we" I mean my mostly my mom.

Each outfit comes with a matching hair bow or flower.

This is a picture of one of the cute pillowcase tops that my mom made.

We will have Tutu's as well

Kylee was such a good sport to try on all these clothes.

I figure it was good practice for when she is a teenager and hits all the malls.

This dress that Milly has on is made from a vintage pillowcase.

As you can see she is thrilled to be modeling!

A big thanks to my beautiful models, Kylee and McKenzie and Amelia.

We will also have some great Mothers Day and graduation gifts.

Family and The Falls

This past week-end, Curtis's mom, sister and her family came down.

We have been bugging them for 2 years now to come down and go to the falls with us.

Of course the week they decide to take us up on the offer it is bad weather.

We went anyway and had a great time.

As you can see even Milly was the only smart one; she stayed in

the back of the Expedition.

Curtis popped the tire on the 4 wheeler. OOOPPPSS

The weather was chilly out, but the kids had a blast.

The next day Curtis, McKenzie, Tim and Mason went for a ride on the

mountain in a snow storm. Yes, they got both 4 wheelers stuck. Two hours later, Mel and I

went looking for them. Good thing they had already gotten out, because I would have never found them.

All in all it was a great week-end with the family.

My mom and I have been working on some fun projects for a boutique

we will be having in April.

This little tutu is the latest creation.

It is hard to get a good look , because the model was

a little difficult to work with.

I called her agent and asked that she come to the next shoot with

a full tummy, so she will not try to eat the outfits again.

What will Garrett say next?

Garrett has always been our child that always has something to say.

Most of time Curtis and I just look at each other and laugh, wondering how

he comes up with this stuff.

Every time he says something cute, people tell me I have to write it down, so here I go.

A couple of years ago I was chasing Garrett down the hall. Yes it was to swat his cute little bum. I don't remember what he had done, but I will never forget what he said while trying to out run me. "Don't spank me, I'm a child of God". Now how do you spank a kid after that?

While Garrett was at my mom's house one day, she started coughing. Garrett asked her " grandma, do you have a hair ball?"

We went up to Salt Lake a couple of weeks ago and while there my 19 year old niece was out with us. She was holding Garrett's had and made the comment that she was cold. Garrett said "will my love keep you warm"?

On the way to Moab last Saturday, I asked Garrett what he was doing. He said " just looking out the window at the beautiful world."

I love my sweet little Garrett, he makes me happy and always seems to know how to make me laugh. And yes ALL the girls, old and young love him!

Sports, Sports, and more Sports

Here are some pictures of Bryson's 1st wrestling match.

He wrestled 3 times and won 2.

As you can see he really gets into it.
OK, so I think this is a wrestling move, and not a hug and make up thing.

I had a very had time not yelling at him to not be so rough.
I will get the hang of this wrestling mom stuff some day.
I asked McKenzie if we could take her old pom poms to cheer for her at her
first game.

I'm sure you all know how she felt about that.

About the only thing she would let me do, is

make a bow for Amelia with her school colors.

I think she makes a much cuter cheer leader than Curtis, what do

you think?

This was Kenzie's first year playing Volleyball. She had a blast.

Sweet girls

I know that I am the mom, but I think these are
two of the most beautiful girls!McKenzie is the best big sister. The minute Amelia makes the
smallest sounds, she picks her up. Yes, this has spoiled Amelia rotten!

Milly is almost 6 months old and will not take a bottle.
I thought I would try her with some baby food, so I can
leave her for more than an hour and a half.

I'm not sure she likes it very well.

One of the great things about living in Monticello is the wild life.

I took these pictures of wild turkey's on the 2nd at about 9:00am.

When the kids awoke to gobbling, they ran and got the

dried corn and threw it on the porch and sidewalk.

New Years day was a lot of fun.

Mel and Doug built sled slopes for the

Kids. I guess that is one good thing about having allot of snow. They were

able to use the piles of snow that the city left by grandpa's house.

McKenzie's a pro.On New Years eve the kids had a blast building a snow run
with our wonderful neighbors, Mr and Mrs Rice behind our house. They are

A simple Christmas

We had a great Christmas this year. Very simple, quiet and spent with family. Grandpa and Grandma Dunow came over for Christmas eve. The kids love spending time with them. Grandpa will be 91 in Jan. We know that we need to make the most of our time with him.
It was Milly's first Christmas, which was fun for us. She could have taken or left it. Mom and Alice had to walk over Christmas morning, the roads were too bad to drive on. We got snowed in that night. The power even went out from 11:00pm til about 3:00 am, good thing we have a wood burning stove.

This past weekend we went up north for Curtis's family Christmas party. As you can see Santa came as well. The kids had a great time.

I know this post is a little late coming, but I just got the disk from the pictures that Brooke took of Milly in her blessing dress. I have been so blessed with such beautiful children. I love the pictures of when they are still so small and innocent. I can't believe she is already almost four months old! How time just flashes by, I need to remember to stop and enjoy it.

Well McKenzie had her 10th B-Day yesterday. I just can't believe she is growing up so fast. I just about cried when she asked for a Taylor Swift cd instead of a barbie or little pet shop. She just discovered that she can still put earring in the holes that we thought had grown over. It now takes her 20 minutes extra to get ready each day because she has to find an outfit that will match a pair of MY earrings. Oh well I guess it could be worse, like her asking to have a boy and girl birth day party.

My mom had a rough Halloween this year. She lost her little dog and looked for it everywhere. She went door to door handing out fliers. Lucky for her she had the heroic FAT BAT to help her out, Her HERO!

So we have all heard the story of the old women who swallowed a fly. Well I have a similar story about Chandler. He came up to me the other day holding a large fly. I told him to take it to his dad and tell him to eat it. The next thing I know he (Chandler) is coughing. Curtis yelled in and told me that Chandler had eaten the fly, and it was still moving when he put it in his mouth. I'm sure it riggled and jiggled all the way down. The funny thing is that he is going to be a frog for Halloween this year. I'm sure he will play the part well.

Most people ask me about her middle name.

Fumie is after her Grandma Fumie, which is her great grandma on my dads side

Milly was born on Aug. 29th. She weighed 6lbs 4oz and was 18 inches long.

The kids love going to the falls in Canyonlands. We went several times this past spring to picnic and catch tadpoles. Of course playing in the water is always fun!
